Scholarships: Serving the needs of future professionals
The Palm Beach State College Foundation awarded over $1.9 million in scholarships for 2008-2009. For specific scholarship criteria and eligibility requirements established by our generous donors, view the list of Foundation scholarships. It contains a brief description of the scholarship's purpose and the major criteria used to determine the scholarship receipient. We encourage students to use it as a reference to ensure that scholarship requirements are met. Remember, maintaining a scholarship is as important as applying for one. Scholarship information is subject to change without notice.

Belle Glade Students ONLY:
Scholarship: Glades Area Scholarship Application (Open until closed)
Criteria: Students must live in the Glades Area to include (Belle Glade, Canal Point, Pahokee or South Bay). Students are required to complete the FAFSA and have financial need in order to qualify for this scholarship. Other criteria include a GPA of 2.0 or higher, resident of Glades Area, attending the Belle Glade Campus, and paying "in-state" tuition.

Students Graduating Spring 2010:
Scholarship: Graduating Sophomore Scholarship Application (Apply Online March 17, 2010 to April 5, 2010 at 4pm)
Criteria: Students must be graduating in the Spring 2010-2 term with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. These scholarships are based on merit and/or financial need. Students are required to complete the FAFSA and have financial need in order to qualify for this scholarship. The scholarships are only available to students who are planning to attend a Florida university during the following Fall Term. Recipients should plan to attend the Graduation Ceremony on May 10th as they will be recognized at graduation. Scholarship awards will be mail to the university you will be attending and applied to your account for tuition.

Summer Term Students:
Scholarship: Summer Term Scholarship Application (Apply Online April 26, 2010 to May 17, 2010 at 4pm)
Criteria: Students must be enrolled 6 or more credits hours prior to the application closing date on May 17, 2010. Students are required to complete the FAFSA and have financial need in order to qualify for this scholarship. Students should have a GPA of 2.5 or higher for consideration. Summer Term scholarships will be awarded around mid-term. Students should register and pay for their classes as indicated on their schedule.

All Scholarship Applications are reviewed by a committee established by the Foundation. Students will be notified by mail if selected to receive a scholarship. Students will be asked to write a "Letter of Gratitude" for the donor prior to their scholarship award being processed by the Foundation.
