PCB 2350C [3 credits]: TROPICAL ECOLOGY COURSE to COSTA RICA!
The environmental movement has begun!! This is your chance to learn about it in one of the most unique living laboratories in the world!
• Get hands-on instruction in the areas of applied tropical ecology, biogeography of Costa Rican marine ecosystems, geospatial technology and field sampling techniques
• Establish hydrologic and water quality monitoring stations in remote Costa Rican rainforest areas using GPS/GIS
• Learn about tree top canopy ecology while using zip lines
This course will be taught in Summer A but reservations are being taken immediately.

As an Environmental Science Technology student, you will be on your way to a meaningful career imparting a lasting change on the future of Florida’s natural environment.
Courses include a wide range of environmental focuses, providing our students with a well founded education that prepares them for positions in environmental assessment, restoration, research and public education.
Study options include completing a two-year associate in science (A.S.) degree as an Environmental Technician, or taking our courses as electives on your way to a 4-year university, or perhaps you already work in the field and want to advance or learn new skills. Regardless of your final educational goal, you will receive quality, hands-on experience that you can take with you and apply towards many critical initiatives for Florida’s environment.
