The CLL will begin its 35th year of providing classes to seniors. This year the CLL will be under the direction and leadership of Community Education at Palm Beach Community College, located in the Continuing Education Building (CE).
The EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE of the CLL is to provide college level course work on a non-credit basis at PBCC.
THE LEARNING PROCESS is lively, full of discussions, controversy, humor, disagreement, insight and wisdom. When classes end, discussion often continues on the walk ways, and out to the parking lot.
CLASSES are held four afternoons per week from late October through March at the Palm Beach Community College, Central Campus in Lake Worth (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays). Courses can be of one or multiple sessions. New courses start weekly. New members can register at any time without feeling the need to "catch up". The campus is close to I-95 and easily accessible to most county residents.
A HIGHLY QUALIFIED VOLUNTEER FACULTY offers informal, non-credit courses and lectures in the arts, economics & finance, health, language & literature, science/technology, social sciences and travel.
OPEN MEMBERSHIP The CLL encourages participation without regard to previous levels of formal education.
