 Welcome. Thank you for inquiring about the Student Services area of Palm Beach Community College – Boca Raton campus. We are comprised of six departments: Admissions / Registration, Academic Advising, Financial Aid, Testing Center, Career Center, and Student Activities. As the Dean of Student Services, students turn to me for assistance in resolving conflicts and in processing appeals of an academic or financial nature. Together, we strive to support the academic mission of the college by providing students with guidance and helpful assistance, timely services, and relevant programs. The Student Services staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We believe in putting students first.
Our theme this academic year is “We Are Family”. This speaks to the supportive and inclusive environment on campus as well as our hope that students will consider the Boca Raton campus their home, making full use of the resources and taking an active involvement in developmental and social activities. There are currently 15 student clubs and organizations on campus and we employ students in almost every department. Student feedback is also welcome at all times. Countless opportunities exist for students to take part in the PBCC family.

Nicole P. Banks, M.Ed., Dean of Student Services
Biography Statement
Nicole Perry Banks has over fifteen years of experience in the field of student affairs and enrollment management. She joined the College as the Dean of Student Services at the Boca Raton campus on August 1, 2008.
A Michigan native and Royal Palm Beach resident, Dean Banks is excited about serving the College and the more than 7,000 students on campus.
Her varied higher education background includes experience in admission and recruitment, student orientation, diversity training, judicial boards, handbook and policy review, budget development and presidential affairs.
Most recently, Ms. Banks worked as director of multicultural affairs at Ursuline College in Ohio. Prior to that, she worked as associate dean of students at Eastern Michigan University. She served as interim director of admissions for two years at her alma mater, Central State University, before being named the university’s special assistant to the vice president for enrollment and student affairs and later special assistant to the president. Her professional memberships and affiliations include national higher education associations. She completed the Management Development Program (MDP) through the Harvard Institute for Higher Education in 2001.
Banks holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Central State University in Ohio and a master’s degree in education with an emphasis on student affairs in higher education from Wright State University in Ohio.
