

Jonathan Marc Davis
J. Marc Davis, a native of Washington D.C., and an alumnus and former Student Government President of Palm Beach Community College (PBCC), holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership in Higher Education, at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), in Boca Raton, FL where he is also an undergraduate alumnus, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree on Psychology. He is currently a doctoral candidate for PH. D. in Educational Leadership.
Among other things, Marc is a professional musician, and presently the Student Activities Coordinator and an Adjunct Professor at the PBCC Boca Raton Campus, where he also is the Advisor for the Student Government Association, the Black Student Association and the Personal Fitness Clubs.
For the 2009-2010 school year, Marc will be the District I Advisor for the Florida Junior/Community College Student Government Association (FJCCSGA). FJCCSGA is comprised of the Student Government Association of the 28 community colleges in the state of Florida, and is designed to unify the member colleges in order to best attend to the appropriate concerns of the students of the Florida Community College system and serve as a vehicle to communicate these concerns to the Florida Legistlative Body. District I consists of Broward College, Edison State College, Florida Keys Community College, Miami-dade College, and Palm Beach Community College.
The professional, civic, and honors associations with which Marc is associated include: the District Diversity Commitee, the District United Way Committee, the MLK Celebration Planning Committee, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Golden Key International Honor Society, The National Scholars Honor Society, and Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
He is a member of the National Scholar's Honor Society, and a member of the 1st class of graduate students at Florida Atlantic University ever to be inducted into Golden Key International Honor Society, representing the top 15% of students in the graduate school.
His successes and achievements include being a recipient of the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship Award at Florida Atlantic University, a former Student Government President, and Director of Student Public Affairs, a recipient of the Provost Award for Outstanding Service, The Student Activities Exceptional Leadership Award, Florida Junior/Community College SGA Outstanding SGA Member in the District, (2) F.A.A.S.A. President's Awards, and College Academic Excellence Award in Psychology and History, and both, a University Dean's List and a National Dean's List Scholar.
