Florida Traffic School

This course is approved by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles as a 4-hour Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) traffic school course. If you have received a moving violation, you can complete this course and points will not be added to your driver license record and the fine will be reduced up to 18%. You may also receive insurance discounts; however this is at the discretion of your insurance company.

In addition, State Requirements for Florida - You must complete a basic driver improvement course if you want to retain your driver license in the following circumstances:

  1. You were a driver in a crash and are found at fault and
  2. Someone was transported to the hospital or
  3. You had two crashes in a two-year period, which resulted in property damage greater than $50.

Applicants have from 60 to 90 days from date of issued ticket to complete the approved course and submit the completion certificate to the traffic division of the Clerk's office.
