PBCC Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply to PBCC?
Applicants seeking to enroll in College Credit courses or Post Secondary Adult Vocational (PSAV) courses must meet the admissions criteria; follow the admissions procedures; and apply to PBCC. Applicants seeking to enroll in Continuing Education (non-credit/ avocational) courses should access the online registration system for Continuing Education courses.

What transcripts do I need?
All credit degree-seeking students and certificate-seeking students whose program requires high school completion must submit high school and all college transcripts within one term or they may not register for subsequent terms. To have transcripts sent to PBCC, sent from PBCC, or view/print your PBCC transcript, follow the information on the Transcripts website.

How do I access MY.PBCC.EDU e-mail account?
The College uses e-mail as an official means of communication with students. Each student who applies to PBCC, both credit and non-credit, as well as currently or previously enrolled students will be assigned an e-mail address. Students will have a link to open their PBCC e-mail on their PantherWeb home page. First-time users must activate their e-mail account via Live Mail. Students must check their e-mail address frequently to ensure they obtain critical information and assignments. Visit this webpage for more details: www.pbcc.edu/StudentEmail.xml.

What type of courses do you offer for those not interested in a degree but wanting to gain more immediate job skills?
We have several programs and courses available. Please visit these websites to learn about some of our more popular areas: Child Care, Trade and Industrial, Continuing Education and Limited Access Programs.

What type of degrees and certificates are offered at PBCC?
If you'd like to know the programs (areas of study) PBCC offers, please refer to our Areas of Study Web page. For information on classes being offered during a certain term, please search using our online Class Schedule.

How do I contact someone at PBCC?
There are several ways to contact PBCC faculty and staff. You can use our People Finder to search for a person or department; view our Contact Us page for general questions; or even "Chat" with us! Feel free to click on the LiveHelp button wherever it appears on our Web site.

How do I contact an academic advisor?
For office hours, advisors, and e-mail links, visit the advising web site and choose the campus you prefer.

Where are the bookstores located?
For bookstore locations, visit the bookstore web site and choose the campus you prefer.

Does PBCC have student housing?
No. PBCC does not have a residential housing facility.

How do I register?

How do I change to in-state residency?
A student's residency classification is determined at the time of admission to PBCC, in accordance with Florida Statute. Students may petition to reclassify their status after having their legal domicile in the state of Florida for 12 months.
