Is Distance Learning Right for You? Before you consider taking classes as a distance learner, it's important to determine if you have the skills necessary for student success. These courses have the same rigorous curriculum as traditional on-campus classes. Online courses have the flexibility of time but your deadlines for assignments and readings for the week remain the same.

Check your course site several times a week and communicate with your instructor and fellow classmates often. Ask questions and seek assistance often.

Participate in all of course activities. It's the only way you'll become involved.
