Welcome to Boca Raton Campus

Palm Beach Community College (PBCC) upholds the basic tenets of accessibility to higher education and service to the community. Students’ intellectual and social development is our prime objective in shaping and delivering academic programs and student services. Being provost of the Boca Raton Campus places me in the midst of the integration of academic processes and delivery of student services that allow achieving this objective. I am delighted and honored to play this role.

Boca Raton Campus (PBCC-BR) is known for its innovative, creative, and supportive environment. Faculty and staff engage students in an intellectual environment where exploration is part of learning, where academic discourse is a means of finding answers, and faculty collaboration is a means of approaching teaching as a multidisciplinary mechanism to bring depth and breath to students’ experience. Students are welcome at the offices of faculty and staff to discuss their academic ideas, issues, concerns, and future plans. Mentoring is part of advising, study abroad and honors courses are part of our course offerings, and service learning and community involvement are components of courses and student club activities.

Having our beautiful campus located next to Florida Atlantic University (FAU) provides opportunities for institutional partnerships and shared resources. PBCC-BR students use the FAU Library, in addition to the PBCC libraries available at the Lake Worth and Eissey campuses. PBCC has transfer articulations agreements with state universities. Transfer counselors assist students in applying to these institutions. A Career and Employment Coordinator is available to provide information on jobs and employment.

A visit to the campus is a phone call away (561-393-7222), and a simple click on our webpage, http://www.pbcc.edu/AdmissionsApplications.xml, will take you to our admission website for application. We welcome your inquiries, whether for credit courses to obtain a degree or non-credit courses for professional development, workforce education, corporate partnerships, summer youth program, or personal enrichment courses in our Learning Unlimited Programs. The reputation of PBCC as an institution of higher learning with excellent academic programs, and its ability to provide students with various types of modality of instruction from distance learning to flexible scheduling, make our courses highly suited to adult students who have other responsibilities and require a manageable course load; and to traditional students who are interested in pursuing a cost-effective and challenging undergraduate experience.

We look forward to serving you, to provide the opportunity you need and an edge to face the competitive job market, and give you the experience to enjoy learning.
