The Student Support Services TRIO Program is a U.S. Department of Education funded grant that provides services to low-income, first generation college students and students with disabilities. The goal is to have students stay in college until they earn their baccalaureate degrees. Nationwide, TRIO students are now being served at 930 colleges and universities.
The Student Support Services Program at Palm Beach Community College provides opportunities for academic development, assists students with basic college requirements and serves to motivate students towards the successful completion of their postsecondary education. The goal of Student Support Services is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of participants and facilitate the process of transition from one level of higher education to the next.
