If you qualify for a bookstore credit, it will be available about a week before the first day of classes for the 16-week Fall and Spring terms, through the last day of the add/drop period. It is also available during the add/drop period in May for the Summer Terms. May is the only period you will be able to use your allowance for all of the Summer terms.
Financial Aid awards cannot be used to purchase books on credit before or after these periods. A copy of your schedule and a picture I.D. are required to be presented to the bookstore cashier.
Purchases for out of stock items must be made during these specified dates. You can request a voucher from the bookstore, which will enable you to pre-pay for an item that is on back order. You may use your bookstore credit to purchase books, supplies, and education related materials.
Bookstore credits are a maximum of $650 for full-time to three quarter time enrollment and $200 for less than half-time enrollment. After add/drop, your Financial Aid awards will be prorated based on actual enrollment. This may result in a decrease of your bookstore credit, which you are obligated to pay. We advise you to retain all receipts for items purchased using your bookstore credit. Minimum bookstore credit purchase is $10. Your signature on the receipt authorizes the college to pay Follett Bookstore on your behalf using your available financial aid funds.
If you have any questions regarding how your enrollment may affect your aid, contact your campus Financial Aid Office prior to purchasing books and supplies using your bookstore credit.
