Scholarships

PBCC offers a wide range of scholarships for students. Merit based scholarships are usually awarded on the basis of scholastic ability, talent, area of study, or leadership potential. Others, known as need-based scholarships, are awarded on the basis of financial need. Generally students should apply for Financial Aid www.fafsa.ed.gov , be in a degree-seeking program and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA for most awards. Palm Beach Community College provides different types of scholarships.

Institutional Scholarships are funded by Palm Beach Community College and awardees are usually selected by departments (i.e. Athletes, Music-Theater, Honors).

Foundation Scholarships are funded by generous donors and organizations. Application process is open to students during each Fall and Spring terms.

Bright Futures Scholarships are funded by the state of Florida. It rewards Florida High School graduates who demonstrate high academic achievement and enroll in eligible Florida post secondary institutions.

Private Donor Scholarship are funded by local, regional or organizations. Students normally research and apply for these scholarships on their own. Students are welcome to research our list of Private Scholarship Websites.

Important Priority Dates

Fall - July 1
Spring - November 1
Summer - April 15

Scholarship information must be received by the priority deadlines listed above in order to be eligible for tuition and fee coverage by the scholarship.
